Add some color

Gardens can be a great source of food and fun, but they can also be beautiful.  Gods majestic hand in a variety of colors all around.  I would love to have enough land to just surround everything with different color flowers to share.    Many of the flowers you can plant are a great benefit to the garden.  Marigolds for example, tend to chase off some pests.  I do not usually plant marigolds. I am a bigger fan of the flowering bushes and perennials.   Some flowers die off and reseed like, Sunflowers and Morning glory’s and others just grow bigger and bigger like honeysuckle.  All add some color and warmth to the garden.  Sunflowers alone come in a wide range of sizes and colors.   We used to have honeysuckle on or garden gate but it grew too large so we had to move it to a flower garden where it could expand.  At one time one side of our garden had Morning glories and just this last year we added several types of sunflowers.  The sunflowers are a big hit not only with us but the birds just love them.  They are one of the best bird feeders you can get.  All of these have been very easy to grow even in the northeast.  Our goal is to try to add different colors to areas so we can get a variety all summer long.  What flowers to you like?
