Life in a factory

Today, in the society we live, good news and bad news can travel in close company.  I work in a factory and in have worked in others in the past.  They are all pretty similar. Let me see if this rings any bells for you; your boss is an incompetent fool who would not listen to you if you cried fire, Same here.  You just sat through a meeting recently where you were asked for more input to solve the problem created by them not listening, same here.  The people who do little but politic and socialize while you work get promoted, same here.  You and almost everyone near you, even the ones with desks are making just enough to get by, same here.  Every year you either don’t get a real raise because of the “market” or they give you a raise and increase your benefits enough to take it all back, same here. And it is the same for the place down the street you were thinking about going to.  Nearly all the people you work with are just sick and tired  of the whole game, same here.  And let's not forget they may close the plant soon if you don’t so something or give something up, yeah same here.  

Can I share something with you?  The answers you look for, a real life, time, respect, and money are not ever going to be in that building.  There is never a time where you being a slave to someone else so he can get richer is going to benefit you.  It is not important to them if you ever get out of the job and situation you are in.  They would just have to go find and train another.  Why would they want to do that?

The answer is for you to have the corner office.  For you to be the boss.  For you to be the one calling the shots.  And let me jump in here before you get scared, Being a small business owner will be one of the best things you will ever do.  It will make you a better employee, better husband and better father.  The skills you will need to learn to effectively run your business are the same ones you will need to excel in all the rest of your life.  Now you are saying you can not afford to get started, but many businesses can be started for next to nothing.  Most even offer training to get going.  Oh let me guess it just won’t  work, how it working for you now?  Think about this next time you punch in, or sit through a training, or open your paycheck.  

With your own business you can control if you get a raise; work harder you get more money.  You control how people are treated, you control your future.  But all of that to say this.  There is one thing you get from being the man in corner office that you can not get anywhere else.  it is the one thing that can change your life, keep you alive, and put a spring in your step.  do you know what that is?  Something not allowed in your building, something you may not have seen recently.  Hope,  that is right Hope.  The idea that things could get better,  this is why people buy lotto tickets, why kids run to the Christmas tree and can make everyday you live better.  I can not tell you how much better my job is now just because i have hope the future it going to be better.  Would you like that hope?  join us
