You've probably been hearing about  fluoride in the news and how some are saying it's bad for us and it should be removed from our water systems. The following is a quote I ran across when I was Googling fluoride safety.

"Sodium Fluoride is used in most toothpastes, mouthwashes, dental varnish, dental preparations and nutritional supplements. This same form of fluoride is used as an insecticide and pesticide, as a preservative in glues, as a growth inhibitor for bacteria, fungi and mold."

So, how do you feel about that? Okay, I guess I would like to inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi and mold in my mouth, who wouldn't?! I grew up in the time period when fluoride pills, pastes and rinses were the next best invention and yes, I was give them all. And my teeth are horrible! I believe I was over-prescribed fluoride.
Is there anything you can do? Absolutely! There are many non-fluoride toothpastes out there and we have tried some. The one we love is Young Living's Thieves Aromabright Toothpaste. It is not harsh in any way and it tastes good. My 23 year old son, Brad, says his teeth feel like he just came from the dentist and I totally agree.

Young Living has a few toothpastes - all fluoride free.  I, for one, will never go back to fluoride toothpaste. I love the results I am getting with my Thieves Aromabright!
